In 2011 Dewey & LeBoeuf achieved something that eluded both Dewey Ballantine and LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae. The new firm, which was formed in October 2007 by a merger of the two legacy firms, makes its debut on our 2011 A-List.

The feat is even more impressive given that Dewey landed on the A-List in eleventh place—one of the highest showings ever for a new firm on our A-List roster. Dewey accomplished this by improving its score in three of the four categories used to tabulate our roster. Diversity increased by ten points, to 169; pro bono improved eight points, to 196; and the firm’s associate satisfaction score spiked 104 points, to 168. However, Dewey’s revenue per lawyer score remained the same as last year, at 157.
