It’s becoming harder to hide a bad hair day at Paul Hastings.

That’s because over the past five months, lawyers at the firm have been asked to use a type of technology more commonly seen on “The Jetsons” than in law firm offices: a video phone, which allows firm employees to view one another on a 4 1/2-by-3 1/2-inch, high-definition color screen during a call. The goal, according to Paul Hastings management, is to foster collaboration in a way that mimics in-person contact.
